Pricing questions, answered plainly
How much does piano tuning cost in Toronto?
Our standard tuning is $160 — $140 on intro rates. Across the GTA market, tunings run roughly $150–$240, so you're getting senior technicians at the accessible end of the range. Full market breakdown: our piano tuning cost guide.
Why do some pianos cost more to get in tune?
Time since the last tuning. A piano that's drifted well below pitch needs a pitch raise — a two-stage correction ($230, intro $210) — before a fine tuning will hold. It's the only common reason a first visit costs more than the standard rate.
Are there travel fees anywhere in the GTA?
No. Toronto, York, Peel, Durham — one rate everywhere in our service area, from Etobicoke to Whitby, Oakville to Newmarket.
Do repairs cost extra during a tuning?
Minor fixes — a sticky key, a squeaky pedal, a buzz — are typically handled on the spot as part of the visit. Anything larger gets a written quote before work begins, always.
Is the intro pricing really the full service?
Yes — same technicians, same unhurried by-ear tuning, same 30-day guarantee. The intro rate is $140 for a tuning, $210 for a pitch raise, and $75 for a service call.
